Spray Tan Wedding Guide
There's so much to prep for your Big Day, but the spray tan should be the last step in your beauty routine. Nails, hair touch-ups, wax/sugaring, and all other pre-wedding appointments should ideally be done at least one day before your tan.
Trial Tan
It is recommended to do a trial run before the big day to make sure you like the color and can decide if you want to go with that exact shade or maybe go a little lighter or a little darker. It's popular to get one before your engagement party, bridal shower, or bachelorette so that you can try out the color and have a glow for your special event.
Bridal Party
Consider having your bridal party and/or partner get one as well so that your healthy glow does not outmatch your group (especially for pictures), which is why we recommend a trial. Additionally, we encourage you to go as dark as you want; however, if your partner is extremely pale and not planning on getting sprayed, keep that in mind when choosing your color!
We offer a discount for 3 or more people at one location. Men can get involved too or choose to only get their face sprayed so that they have a touch of color since they'll most likely be wearing a full suit/tuxedo.
Timing and Tan Lines
We recommend getting sprayed two days before the wedding. This way, you'll also have color for your rehearsal dinner if you're doing one the day beforehand and will have showered twice before putting on your gown, which is universally recommended by spray tan technicians.
Women- you can wear whatever you feel comfortable in during your appointment! Most brides go completely nude for the big day, and then, if you're heading straight to your honeymoon, you won't have to worry about tan lines for your trip either.
Men- Boxers, briefs, thong, or some sort of bottom is required.
Post Appointment Care
Although you may still be working on your perfect wedding bod, try not to participate in extreme physical activities right after your spray tan. You want to avoid sweating profusely and taking long, hot showers.
Your first shower should be a plain, lukewarm rinse with no soap. In the following showers, avoid exfoliating, hot water, drying soaps and other stripping ingredients.
Lastly, keep you body moisturized with a spray tan friendly lotion & stay hydrated with water! Enjoy the bliss of planning your Best Day Ever!
